QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR FIRST SESSION

LOGISTICS / THINGS TO KNOW
What do you actually do?

Professional help in the relationship department is hard to come by. You can think of an intimacy coach as someone who helps you or you and your partner experience genuine sexual and sensual connection, or real life breakthroughs with regard to almost anything you could imagine in the intimacy department.

Through careful listening, the use of deep intuition, leadership, and over 30 years experience, I show you how to build trust, the chemistry you miss, physical Closeness, emotional intimacy and electric sexual chemistry. This can in fact be done through talking or through exclusive Closeness optional and consensual interactions and suggestive exercises.

Demos and interactions are tools to dramatically accelerate your ability to understand, reconnect, understand and feel first hand,  what real intimacy looks like. Seeing is believing.

No matter how awkward you may feel, or how nervous you might be,  I have your best interest in mind and want to help you unlock the best of what your relationship has to offer.

What Do I Actually Do?

I guide, teach, educate, demonstrate, exhilarate and facilitate—helping  remove barriers to intimacy with your partner or within yourself. Yes that means you too and your unique situation.  I’m the guy for:

Coaching, actionable advice, feedback, processing, listening, mediating and more

• I make sexual conversations easy and navigate tough topics in a relaxed, safe space. Simple conversation is always an option.

•Safe, interactive exercises, demos, suggestive build ups, and couple’s games—when desired and with consent.

– Figuring out if the relationship you’re in is right for you, or navigating breakups.

Great question. I am not a therapist, but I do get results quicker than traditional therapeutic modalities because of how we’re able to put things into action.

I also do not diagnose illness, I do not treat mental health conditions, I do not specialize in resolving past traumas, and I am not classically trained in resolving emotional and behavioral issues. That is a different department and I stay in my lane.

I am not any of the following: Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical social worker (LCSW), therapist, marriage and family therapist, sex therapist, etc.  I avoid language that suggests I am involved in any of these professions. This is posted on my home page, my FAQ’s and anywhere else you can find information about me.

For your particular situation, sex coaching may not be a substitute for therapy as I focus on education, skill-building and exploration as opposed to addressing mental health conditions or providing therapy. If you feel you need help with your mental health please find an appropriate health care provider.

For those clients in need of traditional therapy, many work with me alongside their own therapist as we address different subjects.

In the words of my clients: I am often the person people call when traditional methods of personal therapy, marriage counseling and sex therapy have not worked for their unique intimate situation.

I am often able to get long lasting results by actually teaching, guiding and educating you and your partner about almost any sexual subject you can think of.

Absolutely not. You are not expected to do anything other than show up for your appointment and talk through things. You will never be expected to do anything you’re uncomfortable with or that you don’t want to do—there is no pressure, no judgment, and no obligation. Full stop.

That said, as a sex and intimacy coach, my role is to help you achieve meaningful breakthroughs in your relationship or personal journey. And on some level for most people, this is why they come to see me.

While traditional talk-only approaches can be effective, they can take much longer to deliver real results. That’s why I both created and teach optional, consensual interactions and guided suggestive demos—practical tools that help you experience and embody what we discuss in a safe and supportive environment. These exercises are usually created in the moment for your unique situation and are always run by you first.

Your comfort, personal boundaries, and preferences come first. Every session is tailored to you and your unique needs. While you’re not required to participate in any live demos, it’s important to show up with an open mind and a genuine intention to work on this together. Simply showing up because your spouse dragged you in generally isn’t enough; real progress requires positive intent and a willingness to play full out.

This is your journey, and we move at your own pace.

Of course not. Though people ask all the time!  Some people take off their jacket or sweater if they get too warm, but it generally stops there.

IF a woman specifically and verbally says that she thinks it will be useful to her understanding and growth to do so, she can take off whatever she pleases on her own volition while keeping underwear on. Sometimes women or couples are looking to increase their sexual chemistry, or learn how to be more intimate, we can take off an article of clothing like a shirt, vest, jacket or extra top that you bring in. This is useful if and only if your particular relationship requires and specifically wants help in this area. Even then, all interactions are optional and intended to help you understand how to do it in a way that your partner finds attractive.

Yes, and many women do. Approximately 60% of coupled women come to see me alone first, even if they’re married or in a relationship. Often, this is because they want to process their situation without hurting or angering their partner. It’s very natural to want to work through something first before bringing someone else into the mix. It’s a personal choice and not something I require or request. I do however, provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can do just that. Your partner is welcome anytime.

Single and uncoupled women often seek my guidance to better understand their own bodies, explore sexual pleasure, or navigate topics like toys, masturbation, and intimacy. For some, the focus is on building confidence and learning to express their needs—whether that’s learning how to say no with clarity and authority or discovering how to actually ask for what excites and turns them on.

Optionally, we can engage in safe, consensual exercises, demos and interactions. Some are designed to help you practice using your voice, and ask for what you want. Others help you recognize the kind of body language and masculine energy that really turns you on. Sometimes still, you may want to learn what feels good.

All sessions are tailored to your comfort level and unique needs.

It’s your journey, and I’m here to guide you—sensitively, respectfully, and assertively upon request at your own pace. The result?  Deeper self-awareness, confidence, and a lot of fun.

I know that most people don’t enjoy group texts—especially within the same household. That’s why I keep scheduling, follow-ups, and ongoing communication streamlined, and that typically means with one phone in the relationship. Often, the female partner reaches out first, taking the lead on communication and scheduling. However, group texts are always available upon request.

Communication does not need to come to a screeching halt once your session has ended- unless you’d like it to. Some clients are extremely private and discreet. Others like to ask additional questions, share follow up insights or share videos etc. Unlike traditional marriage therapists or psychotherapists, once you become a closeness client, I do use voice notes and text updates  between sessions when appropriate. I might even send appropriate video links, book recommendations, places to visit etc. Feel free to reach out—whether it’s to share wins, ask questions, or simply update me on your journey toward deeper intimacy.

My goal will always be to facilitate Closeness, whether that is with yourself or with your partner. If you prefer minimal communication, just say so.

For my safety and yours, I let you reach out and then I’ll follow your energy or tone.

For couples:

•How to build trust, clean up emotional wounds, and reconnect. Mediation through my guidance to clean up last resentments.

•Techniques to explore what turns both of you on—and how to get there together. Understanding roles and who should do what.

• Fun optional exercises whether we stay seated, stand up or just talk to one another.

For women:

•How to tap into your own pleasure, desires, and confidence.

•How to communicate what you want—clearly and comfortably.  How to say no and how to say hell yes!

•Getting to know your body and how it works. How to have different kinds of orgasms. Discover how you like to  be looked at, loved, touched, held.

•Sex toy education. Self pleasuring eduction.

For men:

•How to make your female partner feel desired, wanted, and pursued.

•How to approach seduction confidently and naturally, without feeling like you’re acting, role playing or being someone you aren’t. How to get in touch with your masculine side so you can electrify her and bring out her femininity and sexuality.

•How to create or restore hot chemistry—without jumping straight to sex.

•How to initiate intimacy in ways that women find thrilling and arousing. How to do things “properly.” Meaning, in a way that awakens her desire.

Absolutely. And perhaps even more so than someone who’s in a relationship. Tuning into the Closeness podcast when you’re single allows, you to work on yourself, discover what you want, and put into practice some of the things you’ve learned with someone new.

If you plan on interacting with another human again in an intimate setting, this podcast is definitely for you regardless of your relationship status.

So many of the discussions and lessons are pertinent to all of us because these are things that we never learned growing up. I take complex, super intimate matters and break them down in a way that allows you to understand it, and actually do something with it. Closeness is like receiving the best sex education.

No other way to say it. Absolutely.  Trust comes first. In fact my top priority is that, ideally, you walk out of the office feeling better than when you walk in.

Now, some couples come to me in such disarray, ready to break up, or with such a broken relationship, that it might be impossible to get things to a positive place on the first or second session. Sometimes people come in and they don’t know why they are there… it’s important to have a positive intention and for you or both of you to be on board for a positive experience.

That said, I create a safe, judgment-free space to work through emotional sticking points, old resentments, or wounds. You’ll never be pushed or pressured into anything—you’ll only explore what feels right for you. I have learned that many people need or want to be asked more than once for encouragement. Please never take this as pressure, I am always wanting to cover my bases and add value.

So whether you’re looking for breakthrough conversations, renewed chemistry, or practical steps to improve your intimacy, it’s all tailored to you. Simple, effective, and transformative.

You would be right. For around fifty percent of couples who contact me, the female parter will reach out first and either sign her and her partner up, or schedule a session on her own. This is optional and does not come as a push or request from me or Closeness.

When a woman decides to come in on her own first, it can be for many reasons: Sometimes, people just need a place to be heard, get some things off their chest, and get some things out in the open. Other times, she may not know how to or feel comfortable to bring something up with her partner that has  been bothering her.

In some cases she may have intimate or personal questions about herself or how her body works and she wants to know herself better without her partners judgment or watchful eye. I have found that all of these things are quite normal.

Finally, some women have spent years not getting what they want and are finally ready for a breakthrough. And some women want to learn how to say no, or hell yes to things they’ve been wanting to experience with their partner.

PODCAST
Can I just drop in to say hi?

As nice as that would be, you can imagine how intrusive it would be if you and I were in session and someone just dropped in and knocked on the door to say hello! Therefore I do work by appointment only.  But scheduling one is easy. In fact you can do so right now by clicking here.

If you’ve already had your first session, you are welcome to text me to see if I am in between clients.

There’s also a nice lobby downstairs. If you happen to arrive early you can come into the lobby, wait in your car, or drive to one of the local restaurants or snack shops nearby.

If you want to get in and need immediate help, the quickest way is to get relationship help is to book a session online using my calendar.  If it’s your first visit, send the deposit via ApplePay Cash, Venmo (Closeness) CashApp (Closeness), or Bitcoin.

Online you can select an in person appointment or phone call.  Nothing else is required.

Alternatively, you can fill out an intake form found at the top and bottom of every page. This will allow me to read over your specific case and be even more prepared when you come into see me. Every question is optional and the entire form is optional.  I will then reach out to get you scheduled if you didn’t use the Calendly and send the deposit.

You can also call me directly at the number on the bottom of this website.

I would hope that goes without saying, but yes, absolutely.

Please also keep in mind that what allows me to be successful at helping so many others who may also be in your situation, is through creating content via podcasts, informative YouTube videos, recordings and shorts etc.

All of my material is based on the work I have done well over the past decade with thousands of different case studies to pull from.

When I specifically see the same situations occurring over and over and over again, I make an episode or a video about it but I do not make any reference to anyone’s likeness, personality or job etc.

Approximately 80% of clients tell me that they thought I was speaking directly to them when they listened to the podcast, even though I had never met them before. This is called resonance. You want this. It means I know what you need and can help.

Again, your name, affiliation, likeness, business appearance, or unique personal situation will never be discussed.

This is a great question. For clients who just need someone to talk to, or want to run something by me, you are welcome to book am a la carte phone session or single in person session.

This falls under the domain of professional advice and generally 2-3 visits will do the trick.

If you’re coming to see me for real help, in person or online, I require one initial visit, plus one follow up visit. Your sessions may be anywhere from 1-4 hours as needed. After that, there is no contract or requirement. Come and see me as often as you wish.

Some clients want weekly sessions. Others want a package of 4-10 sessions for lasting results and other still, will do several up front, then space additional refresher sessions out monthly.

How many sessions it will take to make a difference or see improvement?

As shocking as it may sound, many people have gotten what they needed in as little as 1-3 sessions!

This is a large part of why the cost is on the high end. Because I work quickly and get results fast.

Generally, if everyone who comes in is willing to participate, the results can come shockingly fast.

Other times, there’s a lot to work on! Clients who need extra help may do 5-10 sessions to really get things going.

Finally, some couples understand that it’s fun to work on something new each week and keep up the fun, building on prior sessions. Some people just want or need more personal attention.

Pricing is straight forward.

I am 300-350 per hour a la carte. That’s if you just want to do a session right now.

If you commit to a package of 6-10 HOURS (not sessions), the rate drops dramatically to $250 per hour.

Weekend sessions are $300 per hour.

Home sessions are $350 per hour if you live within a 10 mile radius of the office

Nature walks and loops – where you can get 5000 steps in per session, are $250 per hour.

Each session unless otherwise indicated, we’ll have a two-hour window open for us to work. This is in stark contrast to what you’re used to with a 45-50 minute cutoff that most therapists use.

You do not need to use the full 2 hours. You only pay for 2 hours if you use them. Session length could be 60,80,90,100 or 120 minutes and I bill accordingly.

You do *not* need to decide how long you want to stay before our session starts unless you are financially constrained or need to leave immediately after. Just keep me in the loop and I’ll keep us on time.

I take a deposit to work with me given the nature of the work, and that deposit goes towards our first hour. We can finalize any outstanding payments at the end of each session.

If I am single, is Closeness still relevant to me?

Yes! Maybe even more so than someone who’s already in a relationship.

Tuning into the Closeness podcast for relationship help when you’re single allows, you to work on yourself, discover what you want, and put into practice some of the things you’ve learned with someone new.

Intimacy with yourself- both sexually and emotionally is a huge component of knowing yourself and what you like.

Understanding the effect we have on people in the world by our actions, words and especially how we quietly engage in psychological warfare with our expressions, tone and faces really matters.

So many of the discussions and lessons are pertinent to all of us because these are things that we never learned growing up. I take complex, super intimate matters and break them down in a way that allows you to understand it, and actually do something with it. Closeness is like receiving the best sex education.

I am not. I am however very likely referring to a situation that you have going on or a situation that you have been in because I have made it my life’s work to help people with relationships and intimacy.
